The Olympus MR-500 comes with a 20 gigabyte hard drive for the storage of MP3 and other digital audio files as well as digital photographs.

That's enough space to store several thousand songs and many hundreds of pictures, depending upon picture size, according to Olympus.

Stored photos can be displayed using a built-in LCD with a resolution of 640x480 pixels.

The MR-500 even comes with a remix-play mode, which allows users to combine pictures and sound data stored on the unit's hard drive.

Most features of the combo-player can be controlled using a built-in touchpad.

The MR-500 is available now at the retail level and costs around $450.
